The ND Safety Council is proud to provide NDSOS Member Schools with the following courses at a discounted price. This limited partnership will assist NDSOS Member Schools in providing bus drivers, staff members and their families with defensive driving and CPR courses. The courses that are eligible for the NDSC/NDSOS Limited Partnership Discounts are:

Classroom Defensive Driving 4-hour ($5 Savings) The Defensive Driving Course is a fast-paced, four-hour driver improvement program, developed by the National Safety Council, that offers practical strategies to reduce collision-related injuries, fatalities and costs. DDC addresses the importance of attitude in preventing collisions and reinforces the good driving skills you already have.

Defensive Driving Courses – Online ($10 Savings) Train individuals, or any size group, at their own pace anywhere a PC and internet connection are available. No computer experience or software is required. And, it’s cost effective! Train all your drivers for less than what it would cost to send them out for instruction and far less than the cost of one preventable collision! The interactivity, real-life driving simulations and updated statistics help students comprehend driver distractions, fatigue, stress and road rage.

Distracted Driving Online – ($5 Savings) DDC Distracted Driving Online helps change drivers distracted driving attitudes and behaviors. A self-assessment sets the pace with appropriate scenarios, activities and content based on the individual profiles and risk level. This 90-minute course uses an engaging, interactive format that educates employees about the risks and dangers of cellphone use while driving.

Defensive Driving Course – Public/Classroom:

How to Register:

  1. Click on the link to review the course description.

  2. Click on the SCHEDULE tab for available course dates and locations.

  3. Click on “Register for Class” for desired course date.

  4. You will be directed to a log-in screen. Click on “Continue as Guest” to continue your registration.

  5. Fill out form. Fields with an asterisk are required.
    Enter NDSOS18 in the Promo Code field. The code is case sensitive so please enter all caps. This will automatically change the cost of the course to NDSC member pricing. Discount does not apply to Seniors or Additional Family Members in the Defensive Driving 4 Hour Course.
    Credit card payment is required at the time of registration.

  6. Click “Submit” at the bottom of the page. You will be shown the final cost before your card is charged. This amount should coincide with our member pricing for that particular class.

Online Courses:

How to Register for Online Defensive Driving:

  1. Click on the link to review the course description.

  2. Click on REGISTER FOR COURSE.

  3. You will be directed to a registration screen – complete the form.

  4. Under Select an Online Course, select Defensive Driving.
    Defensive Driving is approved for point reduction and insurance discounts.

  5. Create your own REQUESTED LOGIN ID and PASSWORD.

  6. Select Next and continue to fill in the form.
    Make sure the email address is an active email address where you can receive instructions.

  7. Under Enrollment Information: Select LIMITED MEMBERSHIP (NDSOS & ND Farmers Union)

  8. Enter promo code: NDSOS18 – School Name. The final cost of the course appears under your promo code.

  9. Enter your credit card information.

  10. Click “Submit” at the bottom of the page.
    You will receive a web confirmation showing you registered.

How to Register for Online Distracted Driving:

  1. Click on the link next to the course.

  2. Click on REGISTER FOR COURSE.

  3. You will be directed to a registration screen – complete the form.

  4. Create your own REQUESTED LOGIN ID and PASSWORD.

  5. Select Next and continue to fill in the form.
    Make sure the email address is an active email address where you can receive instructions.

  6. Under Enrollment Information: Select LIMITED MEMBERSHIP (NDSOS & ND Farmers Union).

  7. Enter promo code: NDSOS18. The final cost of the course appears under your promo code.

  8. Enter your credit card information

CPR Courses:

The NDSC offers three options for you in CPR. All three options are done as private classes and require a minimum of 10 people to have the class go. If you do not meet the minimum of 10, please contact Chelle Doll for options on attending a public class in your area. Here are the three different options and pricing:

  1. Hands-Only CPR- $15 per person

  2. CPR/AED- $30 per person

  3. CPR/AED/First Aid- $55 per person
